Bosch Air Mass Sensor MAF for Boxster and Boxster S
Bosch Mass Air Flow Sensor MAF- Only for cars with M620 e-accelerator. Installation on models not originally equipped with version will require a DME program update.
Applications:
Boxster '00 through '04
Boxster S '00 through '04
Carrera '02 through '05
Carrera 4 '02 through '05 Carrera from '05
Carrera S from '05
Carrera 4 from '06
Carrera 4S from '06
Symptoms indicating that your MAF sensor needs to be replaced: When a MAF sensor gets contaminated, it skews the transfer function such that the sensor over-estimates air flow at idle (causes the fuel system to go rich) and under-estimates air flow at high air flows (causes fuel system to go lean).
This means Long Term Fuel Trims will learn lean (negative) corrections at idle and learn rich (positive) corrections at higher air flows. Short term fuel trims will run even more lean (negative) at idle as well as they are the quick-acting fuel trims so to speak. MAF failure is a common problem in all cars and most often occurs because enough air has passed over the MAFâs sensors to render one or both of them dirty. Less often, the MAF itself electronically fails.
Depending on the model year, there are two different MAFs. One is for non-E-Gas engines (Model Years 1997-1999), and the other is for E-Gas engines (MY 2000-2004). Get your spare now while this special is RUNNING.
These are BRAND NEW in the BOX. NOT re-mans (yes they are available re-manned).
This fits ALL Boxsters '00 - '04 WITH EGAS
